Meet Anna & Finn

We have all kinds of folks and furry friends at Container Yard. Take a few minutes to get to know Anna and her furbaby, Finn. Anna comes to work everyday, while Finn gets to visit every once in a while. The Yardies look forward to Finn coming to visit again soon!!

Tell us about yourself, where you grew up, went to college?

My name is Anna Teachey, and I’m a proud born & raised native of Knoxville, Tennessee. I initially enrolled in the College of Business at Auburn University pursuing a lifelong dream of mine to own a bakery (Dilly Dally Bakery) but switched to Elementary Education during the spring semester of sophomore year.

After graduating in 2015, I followed my husband to Mobile where he would start Medical School at South and I would be teaching 4th grade at Saraland Elementary. During this same period, I picked up the natural hobby for all elementary teachers…home brewing and became fascinated with figuring out everything I could about craft beer. This newly discovered passion is what eventually led me to chase a career with beer and land a job with Haint Blue Brewing Company - something I will always be extremely thankful for.

Tell us about Finn, breed, how old, favorite things to do?

Finn is the BEST, and yes, I definitely treat him as my child. No shame. He’s a 2 1/2 year old Goldendoodle that we got from a small breeder outside of Birmingham. Since the day we picked him up, he’s always been a cuddler. Not to totally speak for him, but I’m pretty confident that I can say cuddling, stuffed animals, and treats are some of his favorite things in life.

What do you do for fun? Favorite thing to do with Finn?

I’ve been training him to run with me lately, so that’s probably been my favorite thing to do with him when I get off work. He also loves getting to run off the leash, so we’ve been working on staying close and coming back when he needs too.

Why do you like working at Container Yard?

Never before have I had the opportunity to work in an environment such as Container Yard’s. I truly feel like it’s such a gift to be able to go to a workplace and know that anyone there will always be able to help with anything you need. It really does feel like a family here.
