As we continue celebrating 10 years of Container Yard, we're reconnecting with the incredible people who helped make the Yard what it is today.
This week, we're catching up with former Community Manager Ethan!
Ethan served as Community Manager from Fall 2020 through Summer 2021, helping welcome members, support the community, and made every day at the Yard a little brighter.
It's All About the Yard Dogs
When asked about his favorite memory from Container Yard, Ethan didn't have to think too long.
"Probably the common answer, but all the Yard Dogs made work that much more enjoyable. The people were great, the dogs were better!"

If you've spent any time at Container Yard, you know exactly what he's talking about. One of the things that makes the Yard unique has always been our four-legged coworkers, who somehow manage to boost morale just by showing up for the workday.
(Although we're pretty sure the humans deserve a little credit too.)
Building Businesses and Building Community

Today, Ethan works in Digital Marketing at Davis South Barnette & Patrick, where he specializes in paid digital media strategy, execution, optimization, and reporting.
From campaign planning to performance reporting, Ethan helps clients navigate the ever-changing world of digital advertising and reach the audiences that matter most.
It's a role that combines strategy, creativity, and continuous learning—perfect for someone who enjoys helping businesses grow.
What Makes Container Yard Different?
When asked what makes Container Yard special, Ethan pointed to something that has become a common theme throughout our anniversary series.
The people.
"The Yard is so special because you really can't find this coworking space around the Greater Mobile Area."
He continues:
"Not only is the hospitality and business model great, but the people inside the building are just as great. Business leaders, nonprofits, entrepreneurs, and go-getters of all industries all under one roof."
That's exactly what we've hoped to create for the past decade—a place where ideas, industries, and friendships come together.
Advice for Today's Yardies
Ethan also had some thoughtful advice for the current Container Yard community.
"Take pride in where you work and who you work for."
He encourages today's members not to overlook the unique environment they're part of.
"The synergy of this coworking space is something you will greatly take for granted when new opportunities arise."
Looking back, some of his favorite moments weren't just the workdays—they were the conversations that happened after hours.
"Some of the best moments from my experience were when Happy Hours turned into business collaborations and professional relationships."
That's the magic of coworking. Sometimes the best ideas don't happen during meetings—they happen over coffee, during community events, or while chatting with the person working a few desks away.
Once a Yardie, Always a Yardie
As we celebrate 10 years of Container Yard, stories like Ethan's remind us that the value of coworking goes far beyond office space.
It's the conversations, the collaborations, the community—and yes, even the Yard Dogs—that make this place unforgettable.
Thank you, Ethan, for being part of Container Yard's story. We're proud to see where your career has taken you, and we're grateful you'll always be part of the Yardie family.
