Container Wins Main Street Award

On Friday, November 1st, the Downtown Mobile Alliance held their "Walk This Way" luncheon to discuss initiatives and progress to turn the City of Mobile into a thriving walkable urban area.

During the luncheon, Jacquitta Powell-Green, the Downtown Alliance's awards committee chair, took time out of the program to recognize individuals who have contributed to the revival of Mobile, Alabama's downtown community. Among those who were recognized, Container Yard was given the Engaging Third Place award. This award is given to organizations which focus on building a community opposed to simply building a business. Ms. Powell-Green noted that Container Yard has built this community through the creative space that owner, Stacy Wellborn, has built and turned into a hub for local entrepreneurs and corporate nomads!

The Container Yard family is so excited to be recognized by the Downtown Mobile Alliance and the City as a business who has played a pivotal role in helping Mobile reach its greatest potential by investing in the downtown community.

Bonus - we got to add this beautiful award to our vast art collection at the Yard!
